“I have soo many questions”
Well you’re in good company – we do too! And that’s great because you get to…
Every show, there’ll be an opportunity for you to call or text in. Our voices are really important so lets get ourselves heard!
Let’s be honest, people of colour don’t have the greatest relationship with our medical health industry. We hear about initiatives to create a system where we’ll be heard and treated fairly, however, our experience doesn’t always reflect that.
And now they’re talking about wanting our blood and organs?! But wait..!
That’s why we’re hosting this show with a range of healthcare professionals and members of our comminity – just like you – to answer your questions as well as open the discussion. And not gonna lie, it’s not like this isn’t taboo. I mean, ask yourself…
1. What do you know about blood donation?
2. Do you know your blood type?
3. Do you know that when you donate blood you will get to know your blood type for free?
4. Have you ever received a blood transfusion or know of someone who has?
5. What are your views on your views on blood and organ donation?
So tune in!
And not only get the answers to these questions, but the much needed empowerment that’ll leave you feeling informed and aware.
“When is the first show?”
The 3rd Thursday of every month starting in September so keep an eye out! But for now, here’s some information on the first show.
This is also a great opportunity to learn about how to have a difficult conversation around something spoken about even less: death. So you definitely don’t want to miss this, trust!
