Bristol’s very own weekly Soca radio show hosted by a collective of the city’s leading DJs – Dub Boy, Atki2Jonesy Wales and Kaptin Barrett AKA AAA Badboy. Bringing new tunes from across the Caribbean, covering Bashment Soca, Groovy Soca, Dennery Segment, Jab Jab, Power Soca, Bouyon, Chutney and beyond.

Bristol has been brewing a small but passionate Soca scene for the past few years, through producers such as Jus Now and nights such as Ruffnek Diskotek at Cosies run by Dub Boy and Sam Atki2 or Tun Up! At The Attic which is also co-run by Dub Boy and Jonesy Wales. Between them the Super Soca Show crew have played at carnivals and festivals across the world, from Trinidad to Hong Kong.

Tim “Dub Boy” Rayner;  this one 4th of ‘The Super Soca’ show is quite the selector – having played alongside luminaries ranging from David Rodigan, Digital Mstikz, Klute and Congo Natty. He recently sent over his new 38 track reggae and dancehall mix to Spannered, which we’re sure you’ll agree is an absolute stonker.

Atki2 – aka Sam Atkins – is a producer, DJ, pianist and presenter, plus, the co-promoter of Ruffnek Diskotek. He has released tracks on various labels such as State51 conspiracy, Steak House Records, Idle Hands, Immerse and more.

Are you ready for the accolades, though? Check this out: Miranda Rae has an impressive career in radio, TV, film and of course, music!

Miranda’s work has seen her win a Sony Award (Oscar’s of radio), a Lovie Award, Webby Honouree and Best Radio Podcast in the British Podcast Awards 2022 as well as being nominated for the ARIAS 2022.  Miranda’s career in radio started with FTP Radio, the UK’s 1st Pirate station to win a legal license, 6 months ahead of Kiss FM in London. At just 18 she became Promotions Manager for FTP . She went on to be Music Coordinator for Europe’s biggest free festival, Ashton Court Festival for 2 years and went on to help set up the UK’s 1st all female radio station,  Fem FM. Miranda was one of the first female radio presenters & her career rocketed when she joined Galaxy Radio and was broadcasting to 3.5 million people 6 nights a week for most of the 90’s.  With exclusive interviews with the likes of Massive Attack, Neneh Cherry & Smith & Mighty. Miranda has also worked with Omar, Wu Tang Clan, Goldie, Tribe Called Quest, Dream Warriors, The Shamen, Roy Ayres, Gill Scott Heron, plus Mercury Prize winners  Roni Size, Krust, Onallee, DJ Suv, Die (Gutterfunk) Dynamite MC to name a few. With a weekly show on BBC Radio 5 Miranda’s career has spanned almost 3 decades and included Club Dj-ing all over the globe.  Now settled back in the UK her passion and love for radio is now shared with listeners of Ujima Radio every Friday 4-6pm.  A Tribe Called Quest,
