Ujima Radio celebrates Carnival all day

Join us on Saturday 5th July when we pay tribute and celebrate St Paul’s Carnival with a full schedule of back to back Carnival shows. Kicking off at 9AM and right through until the early hours!

9-11am – First up is African Anthems with Dr J!


12-2pm make sure you don’t miss Jump Off for a healthy dose of soca & calypso, alongside dancehall, reggae, jazz and lovers rock with of Tim Dub Boy.

2-4pm Skylion promises 2hrs of non stop carnival vibes!

4-6pm True Definition Carnival Master Mix Session with Deli Gee – will be heavily influenced by sound of latin music which is a melting pot of musical styles, drawing Indigenous African and European cultures.

6-8pm it’s the one & only DJ DOCTA FLEX!

We have 2 special guest shows including Smith & Mighty’s Peter D Rose at 8pm followed by one of the originators of the Bristol Sound, the legendary DJ & Producer Flynn Ites from 9-10pm!

All wrapped up by Mercury Prize winner Dj Suv & Slix Mc with 2hrs of b2b Drum & Bass bangers, it’s Ramp-Up RADIO from 10PM.

The party continues through courtesy of DJ Xcel with a Soca & Reggae special with Legends in the Mix!
